The Marseille recommendations on green economy

In partnership with Plan Bleu, Marseille Center for Mediterranean Integration (CMI) and the Office of Economic Cooperation for the Mediterranean and Middle East (OCEMO) organized a regional conference on “Shifting to a Green Economy in the Mediterranean Region, Environment as an opportunity for jobs creation and growth” in Marseille (France), on May 23-24, 2012. This event was organized in relation with the Rio+20 Summit which will specifically deal with green economy; therefore the conference aimed at gathering high level panels to discuss green economy, through sector analysis and macroeconomic models and policies recommendations, with the participation of the private sector. A working group of experts and members of the civil society, particularly from the private sector, have met to prepare recommendations for a green economy in the Mediterranean which were presented and discussed at the conference.
