Two workshops on the Coastal Management Plan of the Bay of Kotor, Montenegro

Within the framework of the GEF MedProgramme(Child project 2.1 and FSCC Project), Plan Bleu organised two workshops in Kotor, Montenegro, on 4 and 5 July, for the Coastal Plan for the Bay of Kotor, in collaboration with PAP/RAC (Croatia).

 

On 4 and 5 July, Plan Bleu organised two workshops on coastal adaptation solutions in the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro:

4 July 2022The Climagine workshop in support of the diagnostic workshop of the Coastal Plan of the Bay of Kotor, led by PAP/RAC, aimed at enabling the 43 participants to identify sectoral solutions that can be applied to this coastal hotspot in a participative way.

This was the second workshop using the Climagine method in Montenegro, which aims to include and involve as many stakeholders, sectors and scales as possible to inform the preparation of the Coastal Plan. The first Climagine workshop took place last December in Tivat.

 

5 July, 2022 – A technical workshop to identify and prioritize coastal adaptation solutions for the Bay of Kotor in Kotor, Montenegro, which allowed 30 participants to learn more about the economic analysis tools that can be used to compare these solutions according to economic, social and environmental criteria.

 

The two regional activity centres of the Mediterranean Action Plan of the United Nations Environment Programme, the Plan Bleu and PAP/RAC are working together to support the development of the Kotor Bay Coastal Plan within the framework of the GEF MedProgramme – Child project 2.1 and SCCF Project (Special Climate Change Fund).
