Evaluation of the economic impacts of extreme events in Mediterranean countries

Cette évaluation s’appuie sur l’analyse des impacts des variations brutales de températures et de précipitations sur les secteurs réel, monétaire et financier de quatre pays méditerranéens sur la période 1980-2000 et estime les pertes anticipées sur la période 2010-2030. Elle met en évidence pour la période 2010-2030 une ampleur accrue des effets d’un choc des températures sur l’économie des pays étudiés de même qu’un allongement de leurs délais de résorption. Malgré une baisse globale des précipitations anticipées sur la période 2010-2030, l’impact des précipitations extrêmes, restera sensible notamment dans les pays à spécialisation agricole.
