With the support of the Kingdom of Morocco’s Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, as part of Subproject 2.1 of the Global Environment Facility’s MedProgramme , a workshop on the Water-Energy-Food-Cosystems Nexus and the Schéma Régional du Littoral (SRL) of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (TTA) Region will be held on June 20-21, in Tangier.
This event will mark the fourth phase in the development of the TTA Region’s Regional Coastal Plan by PAP/RAC and its various Moroccan experts. They will present a finalized version, with the aim of submitting the SRL to the competent authorities by autumn 2023.
This session will be followed by the fourth and final Plan Bleu/CAR Climagine workshop, which will present all the elements emerging from the Climagine process in the region to stakeholders. The aim of this workshop will be to draw up future development scenarios for the region’s coastal zone, based on an assessment of its past and present state. This will enable the SRL to be completed with strategic recommendations over the next 20 years.
