An Interreg Med Workshop on Marine Litter organized by PANACeA back to back with theACT4Litter Steering Committee meeting ACT4Litter Steering Committee meeting gathered on 12 July 2018 in Barcelona, representatives from MedSeaLitter, PlasticBustersMPAs, Act4Litter, BlueIslands, PHAROS4MPAS and AMAre projects together with the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean, to join forces and reinforce common actions against marine litter.
Discussions focused on the projects achievements to date as the basis for the preparation of joint common products related to marine litter pressures, impacts on biodiversity and the policy and management messages to be prepared for the next PANACeA event to take place in Brussels on 4 and 5 December 2018.
This workshop follows the organization of the Marine Litter Webinar” organized in July last year and available online, the validation of PANACeA’s action plans during the hands-on session in Montenegro in May 2018 and forms part of the activities organized within the framework of the Med Biodiversity Protection Community Working Group 1 on Biodiversity Protection and Management. Further activities for the group will be organized and posted on our website.
