The 2nd Summer School of sustainable development objectives, organized by Aix-Marseille University and IRD ((French National Research Institute for Development), brought together more than 200 participants from July 2 to 7, 2018 in Marseille, France.
The originality of this high-level summer school, for both stakeholders and participants from the North and the South, is to jointly address scientists and stakeholders in the implementation of the SDGs (decision-makers, managers of local, national and international institutions, ministries, NGOs, companies …) mobilized to contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for the benefit of future generations.
This 2nd edition focused on SDG 13 on combating climate change and its links to other SDGs. Three training courses (“Health and climate change”, “Management and sharing of water resources in the face of climate change” and “Adaptation to climate change in the Mediterranean area”) subdivided into 3 thematic modules have been proposed.
Elen Lemaitre-Curri, Plan Bleu’s director, intervened in module I “Climate change in the Mediterranean region at the science-society interface” of the course “Adaptation to climate change in the Mediterranean area“.
