As part of the preparation of COP 21 of the Barcelona Convention to be held in Naples from 2 to 5 December 2019, Plan Bleu participated in a stakeholder consultation meeting in Athens on 24 and 25 October 2019,including representatives of civil society organizations.
The meeting provided an opportunity for stakeholders to share their views and ideas, and to contribute to discussions on the Ministerial Declaration.
The outcome of the meeting will be reported to the Contracting Parties of the Barcelona Convention at COP 21 for consideration in the Naples Ministerial Declaration and in the preparation of the new UNEP/MAP Medium-Term Strategy 2022-2027.
