International workshop Water and Climate

Plan Bleu took part in the International workshop Water and Climate on ‘Ecological engineering and climate risks’ organized in Paris, from 20th to 22nd of September 2017, by Seine-Normandy water agency with the French Development Agency (AFD), in partnership with the FWP, the French committee of IUCN, IDDRI and AFB .

Gathering 220 participants (students, professionals and decision makers in the field of water, biodiversity, cooperation or territorial development), this event aimed to mobilize public and private actors and to help them to have a better understanding of these alternative and complementary conventional solutions.

Through round-tables and working groups, the workshop highlighted combined projects responding to the needs and constraints of different territories and capitalized on feedback to discuss and demonstrate the effectiveness of nature-based solutions implemented in response to the climate challenge.
