Sea’ties Regional Report – Adapting Mediterranean Coastal Cities and Territories to Sea Level Rise, Challenges and Best Practices.

On April 26, 2022 the regional workshop on adapting Mediterranean coastal cities and territories to rising sea levels, was organized by the Sea’ties initiative, with the support of the City of Marseille and the Blue Plan. As the second event in a series of five (including Northern Europe, the West Coast of the United States, West Africa, and the Pacific), this workshop brought together over 40 experts and key stakeholders from the region to exchange, connect, and discuss current practices and challenges in adaptation. Building on the feedback discussed during preliminary interviews and the workshop, The Sea’ties initiativewith the support of the City of Marseille, of the Plan Bleu and of MedECC publish a report that summarizes the current challenges and compiles various best practices for sustainable adaptation of coastal areas in the region.
