The finalization of the new Report on the State of the Environment and Development in the Mediterranean (SoED 2019) is now underway.
The 3rd meeting of the SoED Steering Committee organized in Marseille on 29 March 2019, brought together representatives of the UN Environment MAP Coordination Unit, Regional Activity Centres, contracting parties and partners (European Environment Agency, CIHEAM-IAMM, MedECC) to develop the chapter “synthesis and conclusions” of the report.
This report, that will present a comprehensive and updated assessment of the status and main sustainability issues related to environment and development in the Mediterranean region, will be submitted for approval by the Conference of the Parties to the Barcelona Convention taking place end 2019 for an expected publication date in early 2020.
