{"id":7628,"date":"2019-05-24T17:03:15","date_gmt":"2019-05-24T15:03:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/planbleu.org\/event\/final-conference-of-the-med-biodiversity-protection-community\/"},"modified":"2023-01-17T12:11:02","modified_gmt":"2023-01-17T11:11:02","slug":"final-conference-of-the-med-biodiversity-protection-community","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/planbleu.org\/en\/event\/final-conference-of-the-med-biodiversity-protection-community\/","title":{"rendered":"Final Conference of the MED Biodiversity Protection Community"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 300px; height: 225px; float: right; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px;\" src=\"http:\/\/planbleu.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/signature_Declaration_Panacea.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>The Interreg Med Biodiversity Protection Community featured by the PANACeA project held its <strong>Final Conference<\/strong> &#8220;<strong>Ecosystem-Based Adaptation: pulse for transformative changes in the Mediterranean Sea<\/strong>&#8221; the 14-16 October 2019 in Malaga (Spain).<\/p>\n<p>This three-day encounter was a unique occasion to share and celebrate the three years of work ensuring mechanisms and tools that support a more effective management of biodiversity supporting proper ecosystem functions across the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n<p>On the first day of the event, the 14th October, was held the official signatory ceremony of the <strong>Declaration \u201cEcosystem based approach for biodiversity protection and management\u201d<\/strong> launched at the European Parliament in December 2018 in Brussels.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/backend.interreg-med.eu\/fileadmin\/user_upload\/Sites\/Biodiversity_Protection\/horizontal_project\/5-Deliverables\/WP4_Capitalisation\/4-6_LobbyingTools_Recommendations\/4-6-2_MoU\/PAN_EBMDeclaration_FINAL_FR.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/backend.interreg-med.eu\/fileadmin\/user_upload\/Sites\/Biodiversity_Protection\/horizontal_project\/5-Deliverables\/WP4_Capitalisation\/4-6_LobbyingTools_Recommendations\/4-6-2_MoU\/PAN_EBMDeclaration_FINAL_FR.pdf\">Declaration \u201cEcosystem based approach for biodiversity protection and management\u201d<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The event then included various activities related to the latest achievements concerning collaborative science, management and policy using an ecosystem-based approach by more than twelve initiatives and over 200 institutions engaged in cooperation for conservation related actions.
